Is £2 a litre for diesel a possibility?

Went to fill the wifes van up today 117.9p a litre £55 to fill a Caddy for heavens sake, which in my opinion is ridiculous (about £40 to fill from empty when i brought it 3 years ago). What do you all think? it's no good protesting to the government as the breath taking arrogance they have been displaying in the last few years shows how out of touch they are with the likes of you and I. Due to Mr Darling merely postponing the fuel adjustment rip off plus the fact that ANY government seems to be addicted to high fuel taxation. It cannot get much more expensive can it? Is it just me or do i need my optic nerves disconnecting from my rectum to clear the crappy outlook i've got on life in the UK today?

I saw diesel at 122.9 on the A36 near Warminster last Friday.
It's the same with everything, the prices are just going up and up constantly. Even the standard curry I have in our local restaurant had gone up by £5 last night compared with less than a year ago.
£4 a pint for beer is forecast by the end of this year.
Seems it is all doom and gloom!!

your lucky we are upto £1.209 per litre here already and the guys at grangemouth may be on strike this week so we are forced to fill up now, which will cause panic buying !

£110 for my works van which is a Renault Master, was £75 three years ago.

as the contry is so gutless we wont do anything about it soon it will be a good £1.50 a ltr

give it long enough and it will be £2 a litre, no doubt.

still more economical than my 2ltr pinto petrol though

As fuel is priced in $ it's a good thing the the $ is worth sh*t at the moment otherwise it would be £2 alredy.

£92 to fill a Transit, I'm sure it was £0.38 per litre for petrol in 1989 and diesel was cheaper than that
