Mk7 transit thermostat

Hi can anyone help i have just took the 3 torque screws out the thermostat housing and when i pulled the thermostat out a spring on its own came out along with a plastic spacer and fell on the floor im now not sure if it goes thermostat spring then bush or thermostat bush then spring can anyone help

Euro4 or Euro-5..?? 2.2, 2.4 or 3.2..??...or is it a 2.3 petrol engine..?? You've not told us what you have. If the spring has come out, the thermostat is broken and will need replaced.
