I have fitted new batteries in my van and my airbag light is on, any ideas how I can get rid of this please?

that seems like to much effort

just take the bulb out or put some tape over it

Thought the lights had to work if the corresponding "thing" was fitted.

Eg,l airbag.
Light has to come on and then go off after a predetermined time.you can .......

1, diagnose and sort the problem.

2,take the bulb out and hope the mot bloke doesn't spot it.

3,set the airbag off and see if the light goes out. Argue the toss that no airbag is fitted with#2 at this point.

Are you not a bit worried that a possibly faulty airbag might go off when you're driving?
I'd be shitting it every time I went over a speed hump

There's no chance of an airbag going off if the light is on, any fault with the system prevents anything working :)

Ahh. With you now.
Was always lead to believe (bad info from Rover forum years ago)

SRS light on= possible undesirable deployment of airbags and seat belt tensioners.

Light on means no worky at all
