My trusty but rusty MK6 fwd

Postby edz27 » Sat Jul 11, 2015 5:40 pm

So here's a few pics of my mk6 6 the first transit I've ever owned, it must of had a hard 15 yrs with no care considered at all and then just px'd when it was on its last legs, although the engine seems spot and starts first time I've had a few initial electrical probs to sort along with the clutch master cylinder to change, the biggest problem tho is the amount of rot underneath now im no stranger to a angle grinder and welder so im hoping ive not bitten of more than I can weld here a pic of the van and what ive done so far

As well as all the welding at the rear I also need to do the inner front sills, now ive seen this part for sale but don't think I need the section that goes up into what I presume is behind the wheel arch can I cut the up right section off and use whats left to repair the inner sill or is there another repair section available?

Ended up cutting the wheel arches of as I wasn't happy trying to fit the inner arch with the arch in place, I had to weld it back together as I had cut it to try and make it fit
