Since picking her up and bringing her home (all of 5 miles) I've put her thru the MOT which required nothing but a new front number plate, washed her, oiled all the hinges and started her on a diet of veggie oil.
Initially I just stuck a few litres in to see how she liked it (ok apparently!) but today, in response to the fuel filter warning light being on constantly, I changed the filter and filled the new one up with fresh rapeseed oil. She started first burst and seems to love it! Unfortunately, the bloody light is still on. I've looked at the various posts on the subject of the warning light but beyond disconnecting it nobody seems to have a handle on the problem. (Unless you know better!)
Anyhow, here's a couple of pics so you'll recognise me if you're down Folkestone way. The sign-writing is all hand-painted and I've got a sore arm just from removing some of the numbers but in time I'll be removing as much as I can. (Anyone need a light bar?) As you can see the grille frame is broken on the nearside so anyone with a spare one please let me know.

Any advice about running a Mk5 would be very welcome.
Glad to be aboard.
John
