well i just got back from the scappie with the complete power steering system and i also managed to get a passinger mirror,

total of £60.00 for everything not to bad, i had big head akes broke a socket undoing the wheel nuts,

and got soaking wet and completely dirty,

just drying out and i might go and fit the power steering, already fittedthe mirror whiler oi was at the scrapie,

i have also noticed on the an i took the rack off, that it has a anti-roll bar on it whitch my one don't, so i am going to check and might go back later to get that aswel, should help out with the handleing, fingers crossed,

just finished the power steering conversion it was a pig job but i got there in the end, just need to sort out the tracking just to on the safe side,

i have checked the mounts for the anti roll bar and the holes in my bottem arm, so i am going to go and see if i can pick up the roll bar,

i have now fitted the anti roll bar with new bushes and drop link arms seems to make a big difference, like chalk and cheese, best mod to date, handles so much better now,

i have also picked up a set of doors with full electrics in the, standard elcetrics windows, mirrors and central locking,

i also goty the door cards and the two locks and ignition barrel, with a key,

i fitted the internals of the new doors into mine and wired up the missing wires and now have electric windows and central locking, i also changed the ignition barrel, i picked out the the red tap in the top of the key and swaped the little circuit board over from one key to the other, and it worked first time,

all i have to do now is find a mirror switch and connect the wires for them to work and then its all done,

so just an update,

doors withfull electrics and tinted windows £120.00
power steering complete £ 50.00
anti roll bar with new bushes £ 32.00
and diesel pump £ 20.00

so lotsd done for little money,

yes adapter plates will hopefully get sorted this week, fingers crossed,

i picked up the wheels yesterday and they are in good condition, look really nice up against the van so i cant wait now,

i hopefully booking the van in to get the windows tinted this tuesday should make a big difference,

i have also brought 2 brand new back doors, so hope they turn up soon then de-lock and de-handle, fit some windows and get them tinted aswell,

i hope i can pick up my new rubber floor this week as the seller is local to me, and i going to try to get some carpet fitted in the back next weekend,

i am going to check the front wheel situation out on wensday and draw up the rear hub adapters to take to a company to get prices, i will let everyone know as i get the answers,

just picked up my new rubber floor,

and booked the van in on thursday to get the windows tinted,

just got back from doing a bit of shopping,

i managed to get:

1X new drivers door genuine ford,
1X new passanger door genuine ford,
1X new bonnet genuine ford,
1X new grill panel genuine ford,
1X new drivers rear door genunie ford,
1X new rear bumper genuine ford,
2X rear bumper end caps genuine ford,
1X second hand rear window,

and a loverly total of,

wait for it,

£310.00 all in

was quoted a total of £879.00 + vat for patteren parts so that would have been

£1032.82 so i got a saving of £732.82 and the parts are geuine ford bits not patteren bits,
not to bad i dont think,

lol yes i might try the lottery this weekend,

just an up-date i have just finished fitting the passanger door, i have also fitted the bonnet and grill,( grill need tweeking for the mesh grill to fit right but thats only a five minute job so it can wait,

i am trying to get the new doors on with the windows in because it gose to get tinted tomorrow and i don't want to scratch the newly tinted windows when i put them in,

i am hopefully going to draw up the hub adapters tonight and de-lock my back door and fit it with the window, again for the tinters tomorrow,

will try to take some pics soon, as and when i have five minutes to sort out the camera
