You need a 4 hole one for a domestic take off don‘t you Luke?

I would think the 10 year inspection still applies?

Are you sure Luke?

Autogas tanks supply the gas in the liquid phase to the engine - and domestic appliances need it in the gas phase

Thats correct...

But a gas bottle takes off the vapour at the top, whereas an LPG tank takes the fluid from the bottom!

yeah basically what i plan to do is convert the tank to pick up off the top by cutting off the pipe that goes to the bottom as the pipe is mounted at the top :D

i'm not 100% certain it will work but worth a try - it wont be for a while the main reason i mounted the tank is to get it out of the way so i can work on the interior :D

had a look at the front today decided on the best way was a mk3 axle as i'm using mk3 pas box - the tre's are all different between mk1/2 and mk3 but i'm not 100% convinced you cant fit a mk3 box on a mk1/2 axle. i did want to use the mk1 beam as its very low millage but after inspecting the mk3 one its in good condition so i decided to go with that all mounted up to mk1 springs and shockers

all mk3 beam axles are 6 stud and i wanted 5 stud so i fitted mk1/2 hubs on the mk3 stud the only difference i can see is the nut and washer size the mk1/2 calipers bolt up to the mk3 beam mounts and are central to the disk

this is what it looks like - the mk3 4 pot calipers will bolt over but im not sure if the foul the hub face - thats something for later as ive got a pair spare :D

Image

then the whole beam gets a coat of paint before fitting 8)

the old mint mk1 beam axle complete with hubs and brakes is for sale if anyones interested
