Thanks for the comments guys, the grill is staying black for now, I think it would be too much. Its in the shed now, I have rewelded the joint between the MK3 and MK4 grills in a couple of places due to a crack :( its in primer now waiting to be blocked down tonight.

Ive not driven the van that much and seemed OK moving it up and down the drive, insurance doesnt start until the 1st of May... Far as I can see around the back and underneath, theres nothing else there, so its got be this seal. Is it easy enough to do?

Got the van insured today, told them about the new wheels and thought to myself, here we go ££££... No extra charge because they are steel, they are only charge extra for alloys :D RESULT 8)

I’m trying to get everything back together over this weekend, cousins over from Australia, they are around tomorrow. The grill is still in primer in the shed and I’ve still got to sort the wiring for the new lamps in the bumper... amongst other things :( Poor old van is looking so wrough around the edges, needs arches etc and that paint job ££££ :?

The bumpers on, looks OK, makes the paint on the rest of the van look so bad :( not sure if it looks a bit heavy on the front now, but maybe some sort of skirt or stainless city bar on the sides would improve the looks. Wired up the spots, they have got halo rings on them, but i havent wired them in, not enough switches on the dash. I'll have go have a look around the breakers for 3 more to fill in the blanks, mind you, cant remember the last time I saw a MK3 in there, getting a bit scarce.
Carried on with the grill, lots of flating down to get rid of the joint, then painted satin black, it bloomed, so rubbed it down again, it bloomed. Put the heating on in the already hot shed (great day yesterday) different can of paint, bloody hell, it bloomed. Im now getting hump! what have i got left, gloss, make it so. I hate it, but Im now out of spare cash, so its gonna have to stay like it for the time being... :x

Paid the tax online yesterday, not sure if Im allowed to drive it untill the disc arrives, but took it for a spin, yep, its still that lumpering Di.... dreaming of a cossy
Hopefully I can get the wheels on before saturday, nudge, nudge, wink, wink CH!
