Think that might have been my fault getting Duratec and Duratorque confused, from what I've found out it doesn't easily bolt up to anything other than the Getrag 221? Box it comes attached to in the jag

yes that what we found too - only rwd applications we could find with non jag boxes used adapterplates :)

Yeh we've got an electrical diagram manual and lukes fairly confident (electricals are his job  ) that it can be run just on its own, we will probably need to keep the clocks but we'll see

as for the wiring it'll be a bit of trial and error we should be ok for getting it to run in the transit - someone told me he thought it would need abs sensors connecting up to run - but i'm not sure thats right, if it is i can't see too much of a problem as you can get mk5's with abs - we can try disconnecting everything in the jag before we remove the engine and if that runs ok then should be ok in the van :D

Abs would prob be used as speed sensor, im sure it can be tricked by using di electronic speedo sender if needs be, everyone saying cant use di one in cos v6…but Mine works and dont stall now(so Much lol)

Twin rear wheels would help with traction too, mind the recovery my Dad built with a big block V8 would light them up with a car on suspended tow....

Yeh not much to report at the moment, the van/jag are stored at work and all ive done is clear out the back of the van as it was 2/3rds full of rubbish!
once thats empty ill be starting on the welding thats required, it'll be a while till i tear into the jag tbh as i need the van in a state so that when the time comes its just a matter of dropping the engine/box in (he says soooo easily! )

Keep tuned as soon as start the welding ill post updates on that as well as the engine transplant

Had a poke around the jag this evening and from what we can figure out is that the abs has no control over the ecu when its disconnected and that also takes off the traction control too.
Great news! :D
Engine still runs/drives etc as norm so must have a basic-ish ecu simular to that what was on my st24

Sorry not much to report but maybe an insight for you madbri/dodgerover?

Ey up robbie, the jags a "w" plate 99-00, only paid 300quid for the whole running/driving car, should be able to sell a few bits and claw a bit of cash back as everything still works! :D
