Fuel pump will flatten battery quick if ign left on, for any lenth of time, also if in a crash or in the event of fuel leakage system will just pump the tank dry, could be very iffy to be honest.

I agree.

Obviously I'm not up on the wiring of these but most injection pumps only run for about 1-2 secs on ignition, then start up again on cranking, not really safe to run it permantly.

Next time I know I'm going to be in your neck of the woods MantaV8 I'll give you a shout , probably one day next week

Was it you who told me the ignition live was the white plug near the servo?-just wondered if the green with it was for a Tacho,I might fit an aftermarket one and I take it this will drive it?

If I remember rightly Sierras used to have an inertia switch in the boot floor, under the spare wheel. I found out one day when I hit a speed bump hard, and the car stopped. Took me ages to find it.

Maybe not but if you have a prang the fuel will flow until either the tank's empty or the FIRE burns the wiring out Its not just for YOUR safety, think about OTHER road users

In theory it SHOULD have an inertia switch as well as being relay controlled.

Got the exhaust done,not exactly a PowerFlow I know but gets me mobile!

Had to fetch a petrol prop today so I could loose the 'Doughnut' on the scorpio prop,going tomorrow to be shortened.

Silly question but how do you count the pins on the ECU?
I can see 1,11 and 20-does it start again to the left,i.e next row is 21,22 etc?
