Mine was stalling when i was driving it due to the vss not being connected
Have you checked all the hoses for an air leak, as this can cause it to run rough due to unmetered air getting in.
i found two small pipe stubs on the side of the throttle that needed blanking off
if its stalling at idle then check all the connections to the iscv and hoses

Hiya Tony, I have the Vss hooked up but it's not been driven yet to get a signal!-just fine when cold and as it warms up slows down and eventually cuts out,I did check all the vac connections and already blanked off the t/body ones. There is the servo take off,one at the rear of the Plenum to the Auto'box-is there any I'm missing?

does it run if you hold the throttle open a touch

The VSS is only used on over run, and without it it can just die at a junction

what have you done with the hole and the small pipe at the rear of the plenum?
Image

you can see the hole and the blanking pipe in the pic

does it run ok when cold?
does it rev alright?

it sounds like a problem with the idle control valve :!: IF there is no air leaks
this can be overiden if need be :D

Yes,the 300zx I had was the same, take off Battery for half an hour and clear the ECU!
I'll check for leaks tomorrow when I have fitted the exhaust back on!-could be the problem,we'll see!

Anyways, didn't get into fourth but changes are smooth, seems to do what it's suppoed to!
OH!-and fitted this today, crappy thing is about 600rpm out!
