just a few pictures of how im getting on with the camper so far
still got all the inside to do yet
and start the body work but it isnt to bad
next job will be insulation --sky light --and boarding

did you fit the sliding door window yourself... looking at fitting same to my mk6 as dont like the mk6 all glass look

yes mate fitted my self easy job on a mk5 as you have a patern to follow on the inside with the jigsaw
i just took the base off of the jig saw and cut from the inside simple

but if you want to fit a mk5 side window into a mk6
i would say your best finding a mk5 and making a card board template of the cut out
then transfering it to your mk6 and see if all will be well
as mk6 uasualy have the bonded type like you say

To fit a Mk5 window to a MK6 you actually need to cut the hole from the MK5 door and weld it into the Mk6 door, beacause the MK5 window is recesssed in. If you just cut a hole and stick the window in it will sit proud of the MK6 door and you could grab onto it and pull it from the door
