The whole rear of the fridge needs venting to the outside via fridge vents. The top one also houses the exhaust.
There also needs to be drop out vents in the floor as close to the corners as you can get them.

My fridge is sealed in by adding a lip to the kitchen build for the fridge to push back against, which has the stick on foam seal. Plastic loft insulation is tucked into the bottom and packed in at the top just to make sure.

i am going to test all gas appliances tommorow hopefully and get all pipes and connectors ready. In the meantime i have ordered some tigerseal, split charrge relay, some 20 amp inline fuses and various other electrical connectors. The bonus is i got a locker from work today complete with lock and key just for the asking. The locker will be used as a gas locker if it fits then just needs cutting smaller,if not will be adpated as a gas and tool storage locker,so hopefully i can begin some work after new years day.Been let down by a mechanic for thbe engine side so will be speaking to someone else tommorow to service the engine, meanwhile here is a mate's travelling blog in a motorhome

,hope you enjoy, wish everyone a happy new year, all the best,

progress is slow as i'm waiting on other jobs being done first, but decided to remove the seating/storage on drivers side
ready for fitting appliances etc.The other side has an exact replica which i may leave in for now and adapt it as a pull out bed.I do not think this van has been insulated as i could see behind some of thbe lower plylining, but as it hasn't felt too cold and time is not on my side i will hbave to leave it for now finish it off and maybe refit it again later if thbere are any problems.

Are the barbell weights for added traction in the snow, or just ballast? :)

Good looking van.

Hi Finn, yes i have the van back now,it failed the mot initially, main thing was welding underneath, had to bite the bullet
and spend some money(in total about £770 ish!)but i was detrmined to finish my project.I have put a fridge in,cooker, sink ,i have an oven which i need to find a position for,all these and a gas locker will be connected and tested by a
coach builder who will issue the necessary safety certification(fingers crossed again).Got some new cushions from a caravan
brekers for £70 plus some vents and cupboard doors.Unfortunately, altbbough i'm taking pics of work in progress,my pc has decided to not recognise my camera for the time being so can't upload them yet,i will update this as soon as i resolve the camera problem with some detailed comments on how i put things together, watch this space....... :D

Hi Solarman

Where did you take it for the MOT/welding? Mine is not due till August but as Im going to a festival in August and i can see rust appearing on the bodywork Im pretty sure it will need some welding doing so want to get it done probably before.

Ps the van's looking good, keep up the good work. its gonna look like kit from knightrider soon :-)

Michael,i took it to a guy in Rochdale who was recommended to me by a friend, don't know where your based but i'm in Manchester,if it's close to you i can get you his number.Yes i would suggest getting all the welding work done before you actually need to use it,it's going to take up a bit of time anyway,i will also be going back to him for mechanical work(timing belt, water pump etc)as he has a good reputation and works alone. What festival are you going to and thanks for the comments,
Solarman.

Finally i got some pics up,work been getting in the way of progress and also the gas side of things slowly
getting done.Still have a few small finishing jobs, but most things are in there now,i kept all woodwork to a
simple joint affair just wanted to get things in,so the layout is now kitchen area behind drivers seat separated from seating/sleeping area just to break it up,toilet/wardrobe at the back door.

some spooky ones, couldn't resist getting gas on the cooker and sitting in it one weekend while i planned the layout.....
there's something about gas rings in the dark that make you feel good, maybe it's a nostalgia thing from when times were good.....
