I change oil on everything I own way sooner than the manufacturers recommend, 5k on the Connect....I've never seen the merit in running oil for 15k in anything, especially something with a turbo on! The oil looks pretty buggered when I change it even at this mileage.

My Evo gets fresh oil and filter every 3k, way cheaper than a replacement engine!

Hi, Castrol Magnetech 5/30 fully synth. I reckon the oil has a reasonably easy life in mine, I regularly drive between Southampton and Newcastle in the van, so the oil gets properly hot.

Fancy stuff in the Evo!

5w30 fully synth Magnatec. Usually get it when Halfords have got a deal on 4litres for £17.50 usually. So get two and have enough for top ups (not that the van needs any). I change it every 10k and my van has 119,000 miles on it now.

After three years of getting the Halfords deal I get a fourth years oil free lol. Well that's if my old man stops nicking it for topping up his motor lol.
