2004 Transit Connect T200 LX

This is when I first got it.











Rear bumper look new



Still has the original Roof insulation, although it could do with cleaning up.

17" wheel obtain from ebay for £125



Now fitted



Also fitted Connect sportvan seats



Rear N/S door replaced for a later one, perfect colour match no need to respray it.

2009 onwards genuine Ford front bumper



Platinum front upper grille



front steel slam panel to replace the plastic one currently fitted to my connect.

New complete dash, bargain at £125 removed from a 2010 connect.

Old hand brake lever to be replaced is in wrong position

New parts to fit floor rear section of centre console



New column switch gear removed from 2010 connect along with steering column



Switch gear & steering column now fitted



New Focus mk3 leather steering wheel fitted.

New dash is fully wired up, just require to get speedo working.

Next job is to fit ABS brakes, As this is what generates the vehicle speed signal for tne instrument cluster. (Ford decided to lose the VSS sensor on the gearbox from 2006 onwards)

I already have a spare rear disc brake ABS axle & grabbed this lot at a bargain price of £60

please don't take offence,but I feel I have to ask why go to this trouble,could you have not bought a newer model connect,given that you have had to source all the parts,if you had to factor in labour this would surely not be worth doing.May confuse the buyer if ever you sell the van

At the current price I have paid so far is less £1500 - including price of van, which is alot less than the current new shape
All the work/labour is done myself so no costs there. As for getting bumpers etc painted I get my brother to do that at his workplace for free (I supply the 2k paint)
As for parts they are readily available.

You could say the same when members fit mk2 front bumpers etc on mk1 connects when they could buy a later one
Some of us on here enjoy customising/modifying our vehicles, & if anyone is thinking on doing the same. I am showing it can be done.

just hope when u finished it all with mods and for the price off the van as u said a bit bk u where keeping all the bills and see how much u spent on it so far would love to no when its all done how much it has cost ya to do it all up
