ok my winder mechanism is broke. the local scrappers has one in stock (one van) id have to remove the mechanism myself... to save stripping my door down then driving about till i get time to go and pick it up can anyone tell me what tools id need so i can just go whip it off the scrapper

From memory,a torx set,philips screwdriver,cordless and a couple of drill bits for the rivets,tape to hold the glass in place and a hankie or rag to get the clip off the winder handle.Oh and nice dry day
How much they charging for it as a matter of interest?

It's easier to just swap the whole door

get the mechanism for a tenner as my mate knows the scrap yard bloke.
