my reliable old money making machine

Postby apples26 » Sun Dec 24, 2006 9:51 pm

i think i posted pics a while ago in a thread but not actually put pics up in the gallery so heres my old machine

to be honest hasnt changed atall in appearance since i took these pics 3 months ago, concentrated more on serviceing and replacing worn items etc

but do plan to colour code the bumper some clear lenses, what i do want to buy is the caps that go in the centre of the front wheels

na to be honest i just personally like the look of it, and the more modern and clean a recovery truck looks is a must to be fair, as for the dash, again personal preferance

the mk5 dash is bigger and looks a lot nicer, the flap on the top os handy too lol

na it doesnt but it seems to pull quite well, had a lwb frontera on it other day, merc estates etc i can still pull up to 70 odd on the motorway, only very occasionly slowing down to 45 50 on the hills that just dont seem to end

looks presentable deffo, but end of the day its like most transits, filled with filler and painted to make pretty but it is a 12 yr old transit, has had new arches etc so its not bubbling though horribly anywere

Smart looking truck there dude...i agree with what you say about the image..at the end of the day..who,s going to trust thier car on the back of a rustbucket?? I use my van for courier work, and although its not white, looks better than a lot of other courier vans i see every day...my pics should be on the site soon( thanks to fredtransit !), being a biker , i keep thinking i,ll start transporting bikes around the country, but on hindsight shud have bought a LWB, or at least a hi top..until then i,ll stick to parcels n pallets ! Will be good to see how your truck develpos.Cheers 4 now
