fitting a intercooler

Any tips before i start to fit an intercooler to me van

Mk6 75ps 
If so & planning on fitting a standard mk6 intercooler with hoses.
Then you will have to replace inlet manifold & EGR pipe as well - Manifold is different with intercooler

Got the manifold and all the bits don't you have to fit a water pipe to the manifold or have i got it all wrong lol

No water/coolant pipe is fitted to manifold.
It just the manifold with EGR valve bolted to it. Then metal EGR pipe from exhaust manifold which runs around engine & bolts onto EGR valve.
