Picked up a decent 2nd hand laptop today and have started the installation process of the software, got the V81 stuff installed & connected power cable & got a green light on VCM...Just too late to go hook it up to my neighbours Falcon to see if it reads codes.

Have another Mk6 coming in over the weekend and should have the one here all connected back up before then to try it out on

I may not be up by 18:00 GMT as I'll have a late one tonight updating the laptop Etc. Is already 23:00 here

If I miss you will either post here or pm you on how I got on. With V81 already installed if I can find something to hook it up to should be able to test it to a certain degree I think.

It's no problem, ids can be a bit of a pain to install etc but it really is a great tool to have (when it is working )

Has anyone any screenshots of ids? When running diagnostics does ids interpret the findings or tell you what the values should be?

Ids gives the fault code and it's general description and some possible reasons for its presence and general checks to fix it

....and sometimes it just says..."remove reg plates, fit "new" van between them", that fixes everything..!

Well it doesn't but that is usually what we think about, that or can you still buy matches?

Since I did the PCM update a week or two back, mine is actually running well...(touch wood)..! No faults or lights or anything...

Have given the "anti stall" thing a good week or so too, it works as intended I guess....but I'm still not loving it.... so I might disable it via IDS if it is indeed an option...can always put it back if I feel the need.
