If you could get a few vehicle's to do at 1 time it would be not so bad but for anyone who wants to do repairs on their one and only motor it prices them out also it won't work with clones and it holds and records the serial no of the interface, the chassis no of the vehicle being worked on and the diagnostic / programming / initialising of functions carried out on each routine run on fdrs

You can't initialize euro 5 or pats now anyway, when all the mk7 vans are gone, so is ids.

Forscan will be the way forward and this key cloning things that plug into the obd port.

If you have registered for the Euro security on Ford Etis ,have a fully licensed vcm/vcmm you will be able to code keys and initialise modules, that is why they are recording each visit and what functions are used. It's their excuse big brother you visit it, you leave a footprint
If you go looking for an incode now for Euro 5 and type it in to a proper dealer terminal it will deny the entry - plug me into the mainframe and Ford's server will do it automatically ,no handshake with Fords mainframe no access
They are basically trying to shut all the back doors and take the small man out of the picture a big pot an they want it all

As for current release IDS (V115.01). It does include FDRS incorporated into it. For vehicle coverage from 2018. As IDS itself only supports vehicles up to MY2018 :!:
The Current FordEtis FDRS online application will no longer be available once Global FDRS software is available (switch on date September 29th)

It's not only Ford. Vauxhall have gone the same way they use GlobalTIS / GDS2
Just to retrofit fit a satnav, you have to request VCI codes direct from Germany before it will work. Fortunately I do have a genune GM MDI to do that  .
Clone MDI's are automatically blocked & user accounts used for access closed.

They are also attempting to close down all non dealer access to their systems, under the competition legislation before they couldn't really hold info off the independents. But now there is an application in to stop access on safety grounds and word is they'll get it. With the arrival of lane avoidance and safety braking systems they are pushing the fact that "they" have specialist training not available to the ordinary 5/8 guy or gal and that is the excuse they need to bring it all dealerbound

Well back to the old v86.04 and my trusty VCM11
Has anyone seen this, first time I've done any module stuff for s while but never remember getting this where it doesn't display the values in the RH column!?
The drop downs are configurable with options but didn't want to change any and then reload incase the rest is blank and it's going to brick the BCM Image

This is on the 09 3.2
I have just added an extra key successfully as I've misplaced the one that locks, as the spare one has duff buttons and doesn't

You need to read the van first to populate the paramaters.

So do the top option then the third option to modify.

That was after reading the van.
Anyway, disconnect, reconnect reread and all good. Everything there as it should. Did find this that I thought was interesting... Anyone know more about this Hiden gemImageImage

I think they are standard, I've always had them. Ironic though isn't it

If I get round to it I'll confirm.

One thing I was trying to do but couldn't was increase the tyre diameter, but even going through all the engineering codes I've found there's nothing, but wondering if a change in diff ratio would be too big a jump to correct the differences between diameters and Speedo. Need to get my math's head on

There is a user option but it doesn't seem to do anything lol. Have you worked out the % difference?

What about putting your speedo needle up a bit  it'll never read zero though

Not sure I'd change the diff tbh anyway isn't the vss on the abs so wouldn't change anything?

I think the diff ratio is more for shift indicator and cruise settings, but wondered if it'd make any odds, was going to change it as it's getting a different ratio to match the front, as it's currently 3.58 and I need a 3.73
