i bought a tranist 80 swb it wont start first time .,i got to keep turning the key over and over to start it when it starts it cuts out .when it starts again i keep my foot on the throttle to keep it running please can any one help thanks

I take it it's diesel? If you give it some throttle the first time after a few seconds will it tick over?
