well, made it down to gaydon in the end

btw, superb weekend get yourself there next year i certanly will be, anyway on the way down had a few problems with the servo catching the plenum, the vibration was that bad i had to stop and wedge a bit of old rubber door seal in between

that stopped it for a while and then it vibrated out
next services i was meeting kev (rover) we decided another bodge was the best option, kev had an old rad hose that he uses for getting customers away, he cut a slice off it and wedged it in - top bodge, lasted all the way there and all the way back
but that does need sorting asap!
apart from that it ran ok ish - exhausts too loud especially when i'd listened to tonys mk5 cossy 24v that was much much better

and i think the lack of backpressure wasnt good for economy 31 litres to do 130 miles

so i hope thats the problem i'd also been disconneting the battery every night so reseting the ecu each time - so perhaps that didnt help either!
all in all im pleased with the van all the vibrations and sound proofing need to be sorted - its noisier than my mk4 Di, but that will be done in time
the van won a trophy for best work in progress - which was nice, ive gotta thank steve for doing all the body work for me - cheers mate
here's a pic of me getting the trophy off peter lee
