2013 Ford transit connect 1.8 TDCi manual.
It’s doing this pretty consistently after 5 minutes of driving, and will stop when left to idle. Doesn’t do it on startup. As far as I can tell I’m not losing any oil or coolant, I’ve put about 2500 miles on it and not noticed any drops. Driving fine, pulls, turbo kicks in about 2000 rpm, no noises or misfires I don’t think. I’ve changed 3 injectors, got another to do. The bores were pretty rusty but cleaned out. I’ve run a bottle of turbo cleaner through it. Changed the fuel filter. The EGR is blanked. I can’t see any bubbles in the coolant when revving, no milkshake in the oil. I know it needs a new clutch so really trying not to spend tons on labour before that, but don’t want to book that in till this is sorted.
I think the turbo was changed before I got it, could this be something to do with that being fitted wrong? I know I’ve got some air leaks in the engine somewhere, could this be something to do with fuel mixture?
Any suggestions for diagnostics i can do to narrow it down welcome.
