must admit, its damn tempting at that cost. get a complete car for 400 quid, spend maybe the same again (maybe twice again) getting it in and running. even if it costs you 1200 quid start to finish you cant argue with that for 200bhp. you're not going to get that kind of power and torque cheaper anywhere.

as ive got th pinto efi in my van im already part way there, with the adapter plate on the gearbox and the petrol pump in the tank. if only i didnt have to use the van every day. :(

only problem i can see is theres not many early cossies about now in the ads, most of the cheap ones are the later ultimas with the PATS.

i know people say its a problem, but if you've got the complete car cant you just transfer the PATS stuff over to the van as well, ignition transponder ring etc?

you would need to have the pinto plate redrilled and have the flywheel done too

Tony,Are the adapter plates available?-also the spacer you had machined (i guess it's for the flywheel) where was that from?
Mines a 2.5 Di with MT75 box,so I basically need the same bits as you!
Cheers for any info!

the spacer fits behind the torque converter on the granada and needs machining to take a spigiot bearing

nope

For the flywheel the best would be out of an SVO v6 transit

tony's has the car flywheel and his adaptor plate is modded to suit it

On mine i had a pinto one redrilled and balanced to fit it
