Tangerine Extreme

Postby LSi » Mon May 12, 2008 10:03 pm

After deciding that my old 100 SWB wasn't for me... cheifly because it wouldn't legally tow the weights I wanted to tow I decided to look for something that would, and there was one van on here that caught my attnetion from the off. So last bank holiday Monday I went down to Kent to view Jamie (jambobond)'s ex RAC Mk5 Turbo. Some of you may recognise the van as it was previously madmark's and it has to be said, it is indeed a peach.... or rather an orange. After having a look around I left a deposit and returned yesterday to pick it up.

Driving the 130 odd miles back was a treat, filled up to just over half a tank of diesel, rarely dropped below 70mph outside the tunnel and the contraflow on the M1 outside Luton, and still had just over 1/4 tank left when I got home 8) The EPIC injection system is much quieter than my old Mechanical Di too, meaning I can now actually hear the radio when on the motorway.

All in all I'm very pleased, and a big thanks to Jamie for being a genuine top chap, very pleased.

Pictures of it all cleaned up this morning:

And the tinkering began soon after too, clear indicators fitted:

Hi All

I am glad that Matt is pleased with the van, the van served me very well for the 2 years that I owned it and it never let me down. I hope that it serves Matt as well is it did me, I knew that I would be sorry to see it go and already semi-regret selling it.
Good luck witht he van mate and dont forgot to fit those new brake bits that I never got around to doing.

Rgds

Jamie
