My van broke down...

Postby Bulldog79 » Fri May 23, 2008 5:43 pm

My transit broke down on wednesday...About an hour after leaving the M25 which was a bit of luck..!! :o

Accelerator throttle position sensor apparently..

That's not the worst bit...My boss organised me a hire van...Said it would be a new LWB transit...Matey knocked the door with the hire van, I walked out only to be confronted by a bloody IVECO Jumbo..!! What a piece of crap it was...Like driving a 3rd world bus..!! Hated the thing...

Got my van back today..God did I miss it :(

Cost my boss £190 all in to replace the throttle position sensor...Not too bad I think...

Just thought I'd share my psycological torment with you all..

Bloody Iveco...

Better now? £190 for a sensor? I have bought engines for less, I don't think I could cope with paying that much for a little part......

I broke down today :D
Right at the front of traffic lights... on junction 45 of the M4 :D
Had to wait for 20 mins for the RAC.

2nd time out ever in my van, and the first time I have ever had to call the RAC out - only got insured yesterday too!
Glad to know they are there when I need them! :D

Yeah whenever my transits off the road (luckily rarely) they always hire me in a LWB sprinter (old model) and its like stepping back in time. The transit is the best van to drive in my opinion, prefer it to the latest sprinter/LT.

Never going to pretend I know a thing about mechanics and the costs of repairs, hence the reason I said "Not too bad I think"... I don't give a monkey's though as I don't have to pay for repairs (unless I am the cause of the fault/damage etc.) Bad me for thinking that way...

The main point of my post was to have a good old sulk about the Iveco...Just showing my love for my sexy transit I suppose....
