insurance nightmare i really need help, please read.

i cant beleive people that are definitely not motortraders are even considering driving vehicles on a motor traders policy insurance is a legal requirement in the UK and lying about your occupation makes it invalid, that leaves you open for serious prosecution to have a trade plate you have to prove you are a trader, with trade bills, stock books etc, and when you first apply the DVLA local office will put you on a probationery period of 6 months, then you have to go back in for a further interview where you have to produce further evidence of your motor trading, even if your a part time trader they wont allow you the trade plate, this should be the same with a motor traders insurance !!

me and im saying that getting a traders insurance should be as hard as getting a trade plate, i have both, but then i would as im a full time motor trader

I mentioned my brokers as they specialise in commercial use insurance, not just motor trade!

but why would you even need a commercial use insurance for a camper

ah right just re-read the beggining of the thread obviously if hes using the vehicle for business use then he will need the appropriate cover, just like being a motor trader needs a motor traders policy and delivery people need the proper cover, do you know the hardest people to insure are people that are involved in sports and even harder than that is people involved in TV and film, i know that from my self drive hire days, they load the arse out of anyone involved in these fields, maybe thats why they would consider fraudulantley running on a motor traders policy

my input was to try and make sure the phatographer wasnt put on a bum steer and bought a motor traders policy when he isnt a motor trader thus saving him the possibility of a charge sheet when the unexpected happens over and out
