This is my mk2 autosleeper, very much "work in progress". I have just changed it from automatic to 5 speed manual with an unleaded engine.
There is some bodywork to do around one of the arches and one back door but its not too bad for a 26 yr old van

Yeah, I could really do with a new back door, I missed the last ones on ebay. I am going to try and fix whats on there, meantime I am gathering all the stuff together to go on there- captains chairs, 4into1 manifold, 38dgas weber carb, sidepipes, chrome wheels etc. kind of a '70s custom van theme. I'm aiming to have it finished for summer 2007! never seem to have the time at the mo.

It was probably me who got them :) . I picked mine up on e-bay a month ago. But i never seem to have time to do any work on the van, i'ts used every day :D . I'ts completely orignal inside except for carpet & fridge. I think all of the bodywork is original aswell, so pretty rotten in places by now :( . Not looking forward to the MOT in 6 weeks!

Mine had a long mot on when i bought it- I think it was a dodgey one as the back brakes didnt work! Underside isnt too bad on mine though, the only welding I have to do is under both front steps, and a small patch by the rear arch. oh and the sides of the dash, but thats a screen out job so it can wait for now. I went to tenby in it last summer, got there and back ok but it was so damned slow with the auto, hence the manual conversion and mild hotting up of the engine I am planning.
