I'm pretty sure that lots of us would help if we could! Could you not pay the seller to drive it down for you Peter? Then give them the BFH?

as rover said I would help if I could but its a bit far from me, can we not get a few of them members to help get it down to mk, eg someone to drive it so far then another to take it a bit further and so on, even if it takes a few days

Insurance might be a problem to some members. Not everybody can drive other cars/vans on their insurance. Bugger, wardy just left from mine, he could have done it.

I've got a friend coming down from Newcastle to Essex on a train in the next few days to collect a Landrover from me....

Can that be of help?

I'm sure he won't mind driving down instead of the train!

As long as he can get a lift to a train station to continue his journey to Essex...

Hi Peter.
This MAY help. On Monday I am taking an empty trailer to Birmingham(aiming for 09.00), collecting a Scorpio and taking it to Huddersfield (13.00 ish). Subject to weight/wheelbase I could continue to Newcastle and collect maybe late afternoon/early evening Monday, then potter down to you Tuesday for an afternoon drop.
I'll need to know the wheelbase/track because I haven't had a Transit on any of the trailers before
(choice of 4). I am guessing it will go no more than 1500 kgs. My tranny is a 90T350 so weightwise
(and license, 'cause I am old :-)) is O.K.
