This is my third Transit which has been written of by a women driver from pulling out of a give way witout looking.

 As some of you may know I was in the middle of selling the van. Only just took a £400.00 deposit from the guy yesterday. Said he was going to collect it on Sunday :( .

Just wanted to ask you guys for advise do you think this is BYE BYE for the van??

Damage which I can see is:
Front bumper near side head light
Front grill
Near side wing
Wheel is hanging of some wires holding it on.
Whish bone snapped of and some other bit
Arch pushed back in to near side door.
Creased bottom sill
Near side door very hard to open small dent on door near sill. As the arch has been pushed in to it and it also doesn’t open/close properly.

Serious pissed of today accident happened at 4.30pm took 6 and a half hours to get recovered just got home!!

bad timing :( :(

it'll probly be a write off but it doesnt look much to fix it up - try to buy it off the insurance and see if the guy still wants it :D

Really bad timing. I wanted to sell the van and was hoping to get anoter 1 ready for ‘’Transitmania’’

This is such a big cock up!!

I doubt he will want it after some time. The guy is a DJ and he has just sold his van so he wanted my 1 asap. He is gonna be well pissed of when he finds out what’s happened.

I do think it will be written of. As I can personally see the damage going over half of what the van is worth.

It just depends what the insurance company value it at.

How much do you reckon all the damage is worth mate?

I actually got a good price for the van according to most people 2.7k all ice out HID out and swap over rear lights. 138k on the clock full service history and very VERY well maintained.

 i think it needs a little more then Tcut!

The recovery people were just seriously THICK!!

Good thing was people felt so sorry for me I got a free portion of chips and mixed meat from local chippy. Then some free drinks from the corner shop lol.

One guy actually came down from his flat to have a go at the recovery driver saying how long he had made me wait!!

Get down geoffs and get the wishbone and bits, only major cost is the arch repair

I cant see it being too bad other than if its twisted the floor pan

I agree

I cant see that being a write off

It looks like it only needs a new wishbone and wing in the pics (is the bull bar bent)

The messed up thing was mate, when she got out, she goes ‘’did I hit you, or did you hit me?’’

3rd van written off by a women!!

This might sound stupid but I aint a mechanic, what about a steering rack??? There are a few twisted bits behind that wheel.
It will need a few bits I can tell you that.

Its actually a lot wore then it looks in the pics mate. The bottom corner of the door is bent. The sill is creased under that dent. Behind the bullbars the headlight is cracked and so is the corner of the grill. The arch has gone into the door. So the door is well stiff to open and close. I could live with all these bits if I bought it back but I doubt many people would want to buy it.

I spoke to me dad his put it through the insurance, if it a write off I doubt I will buy it back. I don’t think I can do this much work.

Now for what happened.
I was on a main road standby behind a bus which had stopped at a bus stop. I am waiting for the bus to move of. I have been there for about 10sec. Next thing WAAAAACK!!!!! Bang!! Loads of smoke from her car. I went flying half way trough the window, good thing I had my belt on. It don’t seem like much but this was the hardest whack I have been in so far.

You need bullbars which go around the whole van mate with these people on the road!! I suppose the bullbars might of helped but my head light and grill still cracked.

The only good think that could come out of this is if you have the agreed sale price wrote down this might speed up the settlement if the van is a write off but sorry for the bad news.
