Service time again

Postby MIXA » Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:09 pm

Service time again so poped out to get oil and filter only halfords had a filter in stock at £7.19 then the oil there own 5/30 @£18.74 for 5lt down from £24.99 semi syn, but need just over 6.lt so look at 1lt £7.99 2lt £11.99 so thought sod that brought 2x 5lt for £37.48 only £6.74 more than if i had purchased just 7 lt asked if they had 3 empty 1 lt bottles so i could return the spare 3 lt for refund of £17.96 he just laughed, still worth a try .( They all come in same load so take a small amount off for bottles bit more plastic used ,both need packing delivered in same truck, that mean there profit on 5x1lt compared to 1x5lt is well over 100% more unbeleivable.!! rant over )fell sorry for the people who cant afford the extra 6nhalf quid though . Hope to have new oil in tomorrow if it dont snow again tonight as its almost gone ,time to start work again fingers crossed some welding on rear end for mot only a month left to sort it.

Transit sized oil bottles don't exist hey. Always worth just buying 10 ltr's and save the rest (well hiden) for next time.

Have you noticed how the bigger name oils like Castrol magnatec etc have changed to 4.5 litres...strange how the containers look the same though..
