Hi All.
I have had quite allot of issues with my old Tranny 1996 lwb 2.5D /Broken belts etc!
First thing after I re-fitted the cam belt cover I noticed there was approx a 4" bit of plastic cover was missing right at the bottom of the cover and from underneath you can see the belt and crank pulley,do you think something might get in there and snap my belt as the last belt did last 60,000 miles but don't want any further probs ???
Also I have noticed from inspection of the drivshaft that on my LWB on the second prop section from the front(almost central down the van length)there is a what they call in the Haynes manual a housing and it has a rubber insulator inside, the rear one on my van has worn and has dropped about 15mm even though there is some rubber left and not touching the metal as yet at the bottom part, can anyone advise me if this could cause stress as it has dropped a bit causing the prop section on the next prop down to snap or should it be OK as I don't want to mess with it unless necessary really as it's not making a noise or anything yet ???
Wilks
