Hello every one i have got two doors with elec windows and i might be buying a van im just wondering if they are much work putting the electrics in the van im buying is a p weg

Hopw this is enough information

If the doors are the same colour as the van it might be quicker and easier to swap the doors over, if not then as long as they are mk5 doors the electrics can just be swapped over

You mean just swapping the door cards and window motor also have they got the plugs in the loom on the p reg to connect the elec windows ?

You need to look behind the fake speaker panels in the footwells for the plugs on the main loom. you will need the loom out of the doors with the electric windows

Yeah i got them m8 i unplugged out old van so will any smiley van got the connectors for the elec windows ?

Not all of them did, that's why you need to look behind the footwell panels, if you haven't got all the wires or plugs there then you have a big wiring job on your hands

Tackling this same job myself, and fortunately it looks like I have the relevant wiring loom, so its just a case of swapping all the parts over and plugging in...hopefully!

Can't tell by the reg, you need to look behind that footwell panel, it's only a plastic panel held on with a few screws

Model makes no odds, mine's only an 80 but it's got e/w, c/l and e/m

I thought its only after a certan year the loom came in the production line and if it as not got the plugs can it bee connected easy ?

Looms are not year specific, they were fitted depending on what toys the original owner chose to have when the van was ordered new
