SQUEEKY FRONT END !!

got a squeek from the front end every time i hit a bump in the road and when i turn the steering wheel been told its a dry ball joint and needs replaceing any body heard of this? i checked the mounts at the top of the suspension its not that defo ball joint area i thought i could just slap a bit of grease on it ?? any ideas?

Yep ball joint dry/ worn. Once they go dry they are not worth trying to put grease in them as the damage has already started. New ones ar about £20 and are easy to change if you know what your doing with spanners

The ball joint can pop out at any moment and tuck the wheel into the arch
Best you don't drive it 'til it's done

there cheap to buy dont scrimp, transit balljoint failure is not very nice and it also results in a extremely expensive recovery fee, i change mine every 2 years

Now shitting myself, been driving mine for the last 4 months, just pump it full of grease when it starts squeeking . Time to get a haynes
