aint done bugger all for ages but started to dissassemble screen surround today with a grinder an spot weld drill as i have blown up the engine in me escort i'll have to work with stuff i got available for this one,so looks like i'll be repairing my rusty screen surround and dashboard i'll put pics up tomoz

been drilling and grinding some more today and ended up with this




im gonna try and use this piece to repair the bottom edge first,haven't even offered it up to van yet but im sure it can be pursuaded to fit
corners will be a pig but im jus gonna make em

yea dont think its gonna be easy

stayed behind after work and done some more welding tonite

forgotton how rusty this thing is

dont think it will be done this year

as above really, i work for a company driving a 15 seater minibus morning and afternoon and in between my mate and i look after 45 odd merc sprinter and vw lt minibuses
spraying welding is my dept and my mate looks after the mechanical side

had another 5 hour welding session last nite sh*t this ones gonna take forever this is what i started with




dash ends where the fresh air vents were was so rotton i jus chopped it out

wont be rebuilding the ends yet as i plan to fit a rollcage and front bit will go down there
