intermitent problem

Postby dmtankerman » Sat Jun 26, 2010 11:39 am

hi there, can anyone help with the prob i am having with my 1994, turbo diesel auto.....the van is performing well under acceleration but once i am at the required speed and back of the throttle a bit to that speed i am getting what feels like the engine missing. as soon as i accelerate again or back off the throttle completly the prob goes.

also the gear box is a 4ald which seems to work perfectly except for once in overdrive lock up at around 40mph i have no kick down facitlity and it will not come out of overdrive until about 25 to 30 mph, even whilst pulling heavy up hill. is it possible these two probs are linked?

hi andy, some time ago i posted a problem about my van and you suggested disconnecting the egr plug
well that i done and i have just give it a little run down to narbonne and back (2000miles) and yeah all is good
but i beg the question how come does this mean the valves u/s?
also my vin plate informs me the motors 62ps is this right on a turbo?.
can i put in some blue spot injectors , intercooler and maybe up the boost slightly what i really want is sustained 70mph cruising rgds,owen

2000 miles.......a little run :?: What's a good run :?: :P :lol:

62KW = 85PS :wink:

Forget the intercooler, but by all means fit the 100PS injectors that would have been appropriate for your year of van :D

As for the EGR valve.............I could try and explain it, but suffice to say it's worn :wink:
