the van looks a good solid sample where has it been stored for nearly 30 years.

Thank you! I try to do my best correcting myself before I post.

The van have been in the northen part of Sweden from when it was bought new.
There is no salt on the roads here in the winter, and the previous owner just used it on the summers.
The corrosion would properly be a fact if it had been driven in the south part of Sweden.

The floor is not from Ikea :) it's from another store.

I have finished the work on the heater and it works very well.
The van gets warm in just a few minutes.

Thank you!

The van is almost complete, it's just some minor things left.
In fact, I've already camped some nights in it a couple of weeks ago.

I will post more pictures later when I have some time to kill.

Damn I'm lazy, 3 months since I finished the van and still no new posts.
Here you have some pictures of the seats/bed/storage.
As you can see, the back support is placed between the seats when transformed to bed.
Then the cushion are placed over it all as a mattress.
I will upload pictures of the cushions and bed later.

It's indeed very amusing to look at peoples camper conversions, and this forum is great.
Convert a van is real fun to, the hard part is to let go and explore the life as a camper.
I have just done a couple of small camping trips so far.

Pictures of the work on the cushions.

Cutting the mattress into four pieces.

Testing the fabric.

Sewing machine at work.

First one done.

Velcro fitted.

I can't take all the glory for this, my mother insisted to help me just a little.

Thanks mate!

The build of the table was a bit hard to figure out, something simple and functional.
I had many ideas about a folding up or down construction, but I ended with a removable pole and two bolts.
Here you have some pictures.

Image
Very cheap build with the scrap pieces.

Image
Corners are rounded a bit.

Image
Image
Image
An old bandy stick will become the pole.

Image
Image
Two bolts hold the table in place, fast and easy to remove.

Image
Image
Painted white like the rest, simple and functional.

Will it fit? Yes it did.

Final result, with the 1w led light installed.
And I have sewed matching orange curtains.

Pretty good storage.

The sink isn't attached for simple removal.
Underneath you find water bottles and the pump.

The first big snowfall have arrived, and I do not have any snow tires.
I guess it will be 6 months until I drive it next time.
