Wheel Clamps - Best security?

Postby transitdude » Tue Aug 08, 2006 8:21 pm

Hi All,

I'm contemplating a decent wheel clamp device for my van as it sits at home most days without use. I've only grown concerned since my local friendly copper told me they are popular with thieves :? .

I don't consider the area I live at risk but as always you can never be too safe.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably price security or wheel clamp device that will deter a potential thief?
Cheers

wheel clamp is recommended, the security is good on a mk6 to stop them starting and driving the van but it dont stop them towing it,this is the new era of thieves chosen way, they smash the window, break the ignition then position the old mondeo and its gone, pedal locks and the like are worthless, get a good clamp and you will keep it :D

My last 2 vans had transmission locks, I could lock it in any gear.

wheel clamps are great but what a bout a chain to the ground too??? my 4 cars were hiabed away
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

If parked on the street ignore this
