I put a new thermostat in my motorbike and it had a small hole in it - just lets the water flow round so thermo can heat up I suppose.

Camper looks good a 70s!

Hi again , well it started first time , its running a little to fast for my liking , there is a thick brown wire with a spade end , that I have no idea where I took it off from , and now there is a load of bodywork to do ( not my best skill) but its a runner ,thanks to all the people that helped and gave advice , I am going to sit in my van now

Hi , yeh, I just had enough last night spent 8 hours on yesterday just wanted to hear it run before I come in ,
just been out and slowed the tickover down , sounds sweet now, I was well lucky not to have had any bent valves but all seems ok , just the 1 bent inlet pushrod ( no 7) and the fibre cam wheel , everthing else was fine ,

just in case anyone has any camper info mine has a sheldon hightop on it with a formica inside , but there are traces of oak faced wood here and there , so I was wondering if it started life as a pop top with the old skool fittings and at a later date had the high top fitted and the new inside ??????

has anybody got any inside photos of mk1 campers or sheldon conversions ???

and thanks for all the comments on the clean engine , just got to try and clean myself now

this is the only inside pic of my dads sheldon hightop camper - if i remember rightly the wood was just a chipboard type with a very thin formica/paper wood efect over the top - altho someone may have added the oak into your camper or it was used to build the main frame of the cupboards...hope this pic helps

Hi , snap its the wood electric panel that looks out of place , and there is matching wood that runs around the top , it just looks like it was upgraded at some time ,
