It's ok. I can also be in contact with them if they have disbelief in a german wanting to buy a old car from finland... But on the other hand many, even youngtimers, are being sold out from Finland because they are cheap compared to, for example, german market. But I doubt the sellers know anything about that so you can possibly get it for 300-350e.

Do you think you would drive it home or have it on a trailer or truck even? Cheapest would be to get germanwings or ryanair tickets to Helsinki and drive it home. Kind of a adventue.

I have comnay car to drive with so it does not cost me anything to drive you around if needed. An I could help getting the "mot" done or export plates what ever. Call me or mail me if it comes to that.

this is good to see you transit people are helping each other out! well done guys , stefan its very hard with the comunications this is the problem i have when i need a german firecar! i also find that most germans dont speak english and dont want to help! i would like to speak german for my mk1 buying skills but its very hard to lurn and buy the time i have lurnt it all the mk1 and mk2 transits will be rotted away!

Well thats better odds than I would have given you , by the time I've learnt it all the Mk6's will have rotted away

So is the bus driveable then? I know it dont look good at the moment, would it need the M.O.T type thing before it can be driven?

Following on from Marks coments it's good to see TRANSIT enthusiasts internationaly helping each other out here Language problems can be overcome one way or another its likeley to get easyer for us as the forum is trueley internationaly growing

Well done, Mark! But I think english is THE international language and even all Germans learn it at school! I think many people don't want to speak english here in Germany, rather than they couldn't! My english is only what I've learned at school, too! OK, it's not the best, but if people understand, that's all what matters! In case of helping other people out, I'll agree with forum member Welshrussell, as his signature on every posting says: "Do good things - and good things will happen to you!" I think that's something we should all think about and live in this way!

stefan you are a great guy and we need decent people like you with us on this forum! it is very good of you to be able to help out i am shocked that many german people lurn english at your schools but never what to speak it! i have found alot of german sellers on ebay and mobile.de never get back to me even though they could have a sale! but at least we have you on our side !
when i was looking for a mk1 there was grey one i realy wanted it was on autoscout but the seller just wouldnt reply to me ,in the end after a few weeks he sent me picks of a difrent transit ! and then i asked him about the original one and it was sold!
what is the grey transits with the red cross on them you dont see many but they have the same sort of conversion as the fire vehicles!

In case of your question about grey MK1s with a red cross on it: This should be a german "Bundeswehr" (Army) ambulance, but never seen one before! I know only about camouflage painted german army Transits! Regular german "red cross" ambulances were painted beige colour! What grey were they? The one your MK1 is painted inside?
