Restoration in the garden. lol

Postby mooney_d373 » Sat Nov 05, 2011 11:52 pm

Hey guys, been a long while since I've been on here, been busy with the angle grinder and welder with the Tranny  Since i'm working outside, it's taking a long while to get this project complete thanks to the British weather

Heres a few pictures of my progress with the green machine.

Image

Had to de-rust the back chassis and re-paint it.

Image

Hear I am replacing the back cross member, I bent the old one by standing on it. lol

Image

Slowly getting there, rebuilding the back of the beaver tail, thought the metal would cost a fortune but J and S sites services in Sunderland have been a great help on the prices.

Image

All painted in black.

Image

Now for the checker plate. I know it'll be heavy but this is for more show use than anything else.

Image

Made my back light brackets.

Image

How they look beside the back cross member.

Image

Had to make a new mounting bracket for my winch.

Image

Now the lights are on and in place.

Image

Starting on the door skins. Bought the small repair skins but has been repaired once and rotted some of the door cross member so making them out of sheet metal instead. The bottom of the doors where all filler.

I'll keep yas posted on the progress...

Thanks Dave
