mk2 petrol to turbo di hopefully

Postby tonypastie1 » Wed Nov 16, 2011 9:26 pm

my ultra low milage mk2 phase 1 transit
i personally imported from germany
fitted with 2litre petrol pinto 4 speed 25k from new

i since fitted a 5 speed as she was screaming a tad at over 60mph

but now i am going to try and convert it to di turbo
never done anything like this before
going to fit a bosch 146 pump rather than the electric one that comes as standard so i dont need any ecu,s or computers

any hints tip will be very helpfull as i dont even no if the mounts will fit :)

well if this turns out half as good as your supersport it'll be amazing 8) 8)

as for the mounts find some mk3/4 Di mounts they will fit your mk2 chassis mounts and bolt up to the engine :D
late mk3or mk4 are better as they have the gearbox brace :D

another tip tony is to get plenty of sound proofing on the bulkhead while the engines out - Di's are very noisy in the mk1/2's so sound proofing will help to quieten it down 8)
