What is a reasonable price? URGENT URGENT URGENT

Postby bikerwitch13 » Mon Oct 30, 2006 10:22 pm

Ok, Daisy the camper has to go. I have no idea what sort of offers to accept? She is 1978 Mark I, so one of the last of the Mk Is. Inside she is pretty tidy and looks nice from the outside, needs welding (lots it would seem), starting motor needs a clean and the handbrake cable needs replacing. She has usual problem areas in doors etc that have been filled when the respray was done, and the locks dont work (of course!)

So what would be a reasonable offer? I am going to put her on ebay without reserve and need to do a starting bid, any suggestions?

I think the pics are more important that a huge write up, people just switch off if it's more than the screen long. I do.

thats cos your only browsing - serious bidders will read it all and the more "relevant" info you put the more people realise you have looked after it :D

No it's been when I have been looking to buy a car for something. Maybe it's just that with the era (1980s) I am looking in, nothing really puts me off (well the need to have all the wheels and be running ect  ) so I don't need to know somebody's life story, or the life story of the car/van!

Yeah fair enough, maybe just me then! At the opposite end of the scale, I hate it when people just put something like "white transit diesel" and that's it!
