After several messages reguarding the Sun DGA 1800 Exaust Gas Analyser (EX MOT)

I have just recalibrated it & is in full working order & yes it's for turbo diesels & non turbo diesels

Is also comes with the recalibration filters !

I have decided to fit a later N/S rear door that does not have the Number plate light trim.

So the original one is up for sale complete with number plate light trim (see pic below) £50

good solid door, if anyone is interested

New door from a 2006 connect arrived today, complete including wiring loom. So I cracked on & fitted it Athought the door is in Frozen white



Now I have to get the door resprayed to Diamond white !

Any chance of another photo of the from the back of the van, Ive just had my rear doors repired and sprayed and the door are a different color from the rest of the van, the painter said its the correct color and the rest of the van is wrong, I asked him what color he used and he just said the correct one for this vehicle, looking at your new door it looks like he has sprayed mine frozen white & not diamond white, I would like to print of the photo and show him

it not that simple,diamond white has been around for over 30 years so there is lots of different shades.
yes connects are marked as shade 2 but that doesnt mean anything in the paint trade.
with the added problem that ford do not put the colour code on tag plate (sticker in the door shut) on commercial vehicles

just to give you an example
below is 10 different shades of ford diamond white from ONLY 3 different paint mixing schemes (max meyer,pro spray and mipa)

also commercial is not the same as car diamond white.you should never use photos to match colour/paint,in real life the colours below are way off to each other,and the pic they all look the same (nearly).
for example 3rd one on the right (from the bottom) in real life looks like pauls frozen white door.




bear this in mind when you go back to your painter,as he MAY have used diamond white just the wrong shade.

Yes you are correct there

I was informed that there are 2 variations of diamond white - 691 W / ZA for the early connects when I had my front bumper painted.

My van paint code is ZA - (paint code found on N/S B PILLAR) I used this when I painted my rear bumper in May Meyer 2k & its a perfect colour match



BUT if van has had a complete re-spray in the past then paint code will be useless, Possibly thats what has happened to liteace when painter sprayed up his rear doors. Obviously went by vehicle paint code but didn't confirm with colour chart

The only paint its had before is one front wing and that matched that OK + the door shuts, inside the rear doors & inner wings are the same color as the rest of the van, I dont think he even looked at the paint code, he prob just though it was that or he had a little of that color left over from the last job
I'll go to the paint shop with the van and get them to mix the paint there and then, he always comes out with his color chart to make sure what his going to mix is 100% correct, I'll also ask him what color the rear doors are from his chart and then got back and throw the paint at the guy that painted it
