I can't find any makers plate on mine so was hoping it had come from the same stable, but obviously not!

I will have a look at the SVO brochure you speak of.

Not too impressed, the van has developed an annoying problem. Under acceleration there is a sudden decrease in power, like the engine is holding back, then it starts to pick up power again. This is now accompanied by the smell of fuel when the engine is switched off, I have had a good look in the engine bay and can't see any obvious leakage anywhere. Any suggestions before I start pulling the fuel system apart?

sure its a diesel. Check the fuel line as it passes behind the rocker cover. They can rub and let in air.....

Fuel filter is new as of June 2012, however the fuel line getting split would make sense. I shall have a poke around with a torch and a mirror next week, I'm sticking with the County this weekend if the snow is threatening to show up round here!

i had the same problem for 2 years   tryed the tourque sleeve changed filter fuel pipes still the same  then my sisters cargo played up and that solved it for me  sisters cargo lost power so i changed the filter ect still the same  it was a cable stop solonide and the cable had slipped ie not holding the stop of completely. so i checked my voltage at mine and that was ok  so i changed it and geuse what  it flew the best it ever had. so i recon the solon9ide had got week. and to prove it i changed it back a mounth later and the symptons return till i binned it fitted another soliniod

Found an old step bumper off a Mk5, a bit rough but it will do for now!
