We did try this, but since the pedal/cable assembly is intended for the Turkish market, LEFT HAND DRIVE, it made operation rather difficult in a right hand drive vehicle

I would imagine ford want quite a lot of money for petrol pedals... and they arn't exactly in abundant supply 2nd hand! Pretty pointless having a kit designed around a part which is hard to get/very expensive...

Utilizing the Petrol throttle pedal/cable was something we considered.
I did carry out a detailed inspection of a forum member's LPG Mk6 two years ago but the lack of availability pre-used and the cost of a new Ford part resulted in us producing our own. The Ford petrol throttle cable was unsuitable for our needs and the use of the Ford pedal required the bulkhead to be drilled in an area that would have required dash removal to accomplish, (on right hand drive vehicles at least). Consequently we felt that an alternative pedal assembly provided a simpler installation.

Our throttle pedal assembly is constructed from a number of different parts and can be assembled to suit both left and right hand drive vehicles, doing so helps to keep production costs to a minimum.

Once again Mr V184, I say that you do not appear 'dim', but your eagerness to comment on matters you clearly know little about is in keeping with the majority of your posts!

Ok Mr Evasive, what do you do/have you done, you enjoy the sweeping statements of lash up, heath robinson etc but fail to give valid reasoning for comments when asked, do you have any background in design, small production runs, prototypes, im sure lots on here await your reply as to how clever you are on the subjects you scathe , do astound us.

I've just removed a throttle cable from a transit that I have owned since it was "nearly new" in 2001, the cable has never been renewed so is at least 15 yrs old and still works fine
