Just worked mine out, on my 57plate long wheel base, high roof 100ps 2.4 tdci 5 speed with 5.11 rear axle, and I am getting 30.22 miles per gallon. Im well happy with that.....

11-Plate SWB 260 115PS, current average - 36.2, but i admit to driving like a plonker and thats mainly around town... but on the runs ive done down south i manged an ave. of 49.8 :D.

2008 t350 mwb 115 rwd fully loaded plus towing 1 tonne caravan 225 miles as 55-60 on motorway plus 30 miles on back roads empty returned 22mpg

2.3, 16V does 25mpg and need to replace idle valve - no parts :( . So could be better.

Ex rac semi high SWB 300 51 plate. 153K on the clock. Put 15 quid in the other day, did 107 miles. If my calculations are right thats 46 to the gallon.

Have 1 year old Hymer Motor home, stacked to the gills with bikes (2) pneumatic catamaran (1) (90 kilos) extra batteries (leisure)
120 litres water (v often)two people ( 470 lbs v often) First trip Rome and back..( after coming from dortmund to cornwall

7776km 1110 litres about 31.8 miles to gallon that is bloody marvellous


My old van a fiat ducato did about 24/25 to the gallon for 148000 miles.

mind you diesel was about 11 p a litre in the baltic states in 1990

Mk7 T350 140 psi, average speed 8 miles an hour, average millage 25.8 thats with transit and load weighing 3000kls.

From a brim to brim fill at ASDA .

did 547 miles
used 73.85 ltr fuel
payed £1.38.7 a litre

+++++33.5 mpg+++++

Is that about right ? most of it motorway miles ,70 to 75mph

swb 280 85ps.
next to nowt in the back
small roof bars on
Prob might of improved if i stay below 70?
Had a rusty old 58 plate 85 ps swb.180 thou .most reliable bus ive ever had

12 plate limited 125bhp 260 that got nicked :shock: :shock:

There's no doubt about that. I have the trip computer on mine and the difference between 60mph and 70mph is quite dramatic (I never go over 70mph, of course). Although it's annoying, the long stretch of the M1 between Jct 13 and Jct 10 where there is a 50mph limit for road 'improvements' has probably saved me a lot of fuel in the last two years.

My van has the 115 TDCi (although as I understand it, the hardware is the same as the 85) plus the 6-speed gearbox, and the most efficient running is with RPM between 1750 and 2000. That is the maximum torque range for the engine.

I'm still averaging around 40mpg, although it's difficult to keep that up in winter conditions!

Ive done 3 full tanks in now and still only gettiin 33mpg :roll: :roll:

Driving very conservativley and mainly motorways ,so something is wrong.

The roof bars will be knocking the mpg a bit, One of our 350s saw a drop of 50miles to the tank once the roof rack went on

:twisted: 330 lwb high roof get 25mpg, think its about time lightend the load a little, running just under 4 ton, extra leafs fitted ,pc plod is yet to pull me over : )

You have just got drive like a winker my 110 280 run to cov 250 miles 70 ish got 32mpg
Last night 130miles at about 65 ish 38mpg
Flat cap and pipe job :lol:

i have got a transit mk7 56 reg which is really bad on fuel, i put diesel £95;00 in and get 300/310 miles, anyone get any less miles than that ?
